Things are going great out here! We even had a couple of off days in Italy so I had time to grab some real authentic gelato from these really cool people. ❤️
Visited a gorgeous church in Rome. The architecture is truly something to marvel at. Check out that ceiling!
Did a little souvenir shopping in Naples. I love that city. 🙂
We went to a reggae party in Naples and I ended up rocking a quick set. It was so dope. Loved the energy of everyone. The team teally had a great time.
I am receiving a lot of gifts on the road. I’m telling you…next time I’m packing underwear and socks. 🙂 I’ll probably have to mail some stuff home but that’s not a bad problem to have. 🙂
I’m really proud of myself for remembering how to pack like my sis, Casandra, taught me to. Haha.
Had a dope interview and photoshoot with Salad Days Magazine before the show in Bologna, Italy. 🙂
münster was DOPE. I was happy to rock there again. We had a great show, the energy was amazing. Afterwards I was blown away by man of booom. I was watching in the front row watching this crew rock, writing rhymes, leaning on the speaker feeling the beat… then they handed me the mic and i jumped up and stated rocking with them. so dope! =)

…a couple of weeks ago I got to rock at hip hop kemp in Czech Republic. it was my first time there and it was an amazing experience! there were so many dope artists out there from Black Milk to the Skyzoo. I had a dope meet and greet at the LRG tent, where we gave away some of the Star and the Sky Remixes on vinyl. I ate goooood, met a lot of really dope people, spent time with friends and had a banging, packed show! after everything was done, we enjoyed a day in the beautiful city of Prague before heading back to the States.

…the following week I was back in Europe, this time in Germany. if you know me, you know that Germany is one of my most favorite places to visit. I was excited to visit Cologne for the first time. it was a really cool city. very historic with a lot of modern touches. in my downtime, I stayed just on the outskirts of the city. it was GORGEOUS. Ive never seen anything like it before in “real life”. lol. there was a forest behind the house and you could see mountains off in the distance. it was a lovely experience to be in the stillness of it all, taking in the fresh, crisp air. I stayed with my friend’s mom and she was such an amazing hostess. She took me on a tour of the city and she fed me! lol. you know I was happy.
…the show in cologne was at a packed club called Subway for the Beatpackers Party. I rocked with DJ Jam and the energy was LIVE!! I did a few songs since it was just a teaser for a bigger show in January…but the crowd demanded another, so that’s what we did. the next day, we were off to Berlin to chill with my Jakarta Records fam. Farhot, Sterio, IAMNOBODI and I rocked at YAAM as a part of Berlin Music Week…man, I went on at 2:45am. it was a dope night…but at around 4am I had to lay down on the side of the stage. LOL! Berlin def knows how to party. Later that day I rocked at the Berlin Music Festival which was also a really dope show. I met Belgian artist, Coely. she had great energy and gives an amazing show. if you haven’t heard of her, check her out!!

its been sooo long since I have posted on my wordpress site.
at least it feels that way.
so much has been going on.. where did we leave off? did I even tell you how amazing Germany and Austria were in May? it was my first international tour and I was so blown away by the people, the cities and the culture. Hip hop is alive and well there. sometimes people in the States like to say hip hop is dead.. when I got there, I was like “maybe it just moved…” the reality though, hip hop is very much alive and well all round us although some would love to have us believe otherwise.

after my first tour, i came home and kept working.. as i mentioned, i signed on with Jakarta Records to release the new album.. well, there was more work to be done than i’d expected. when you are doing things officially, its important to get it right.. this wasnt a mixtape.. this isnt a hobby.. it had to be right. im grateful for the guidance from Jannis at Jakarta, who really helped me cross my “T”s and dot my “I”s…together, with help from a few others, we really whipped this album into shape and got it ready to release THIS FRIDAY, October 18th. =)
while I was home working on finalizing the album, I was also working on a second international tour. I connected with Miska Events, based in Paris, and we put together another tour. this time, I would be heading to Portugal and France for six shows in five cities. that tour happened in September and it was another magnificent experience. Portugal was amazing! I set the tour off in Porto and the crowd’s energy was electric. I started spittin’ Magnificent and they were right there with me, word for word. The next day, long time supporter and FB friend, Denis, took us out on a tour of the city. it was beautiful… and so was the food. 😉
when I got to Paris, play time was over! it was straight biz mode. two video shoots, a show and a photo shoot took up most of my time. I did manage to squeeze in some time to catch a dope pic in front of Moulin Rouge and to visit the Eiffel Tower.
I had to pause and take in the moment.. i said to myself “wow, hip hop brought me here!”… the show in Paris at L’International was amazing…it was packed and the crowd showed a lot of love.
after Paris, I headed off to Lyon for two shows. the first was at a hotel/retaurant called Mama Shelter. banging food.. but much of the crowd didnt seem to expect me. well, several people came for the show, but they did not have seats.. those who were seated and eating looked thoroughly surprised when I jumped on the stage and said “whaddup peeps, my name is dynasty aka ya girl DY!!”…ha! i truly fely like a hip hop wedding singer.. “hows everybody doing? I came to do a few songs for you tonight.. I hope you enjoy” … but I got through it and caught a few smiles from the patrons and even a couple of head nods like “right on, sista!…dream..pusher!”
I ended the tour in Montreuil at La Station Services. that was a really dope show. two young men showed up nice and early with roses for me. the sweetest thing. i had a great time with that crowd, it was very interactive and I rocked with the Paris DJs who really held me down!
Now… I am preparing to release my first full length album, A Star in Life’s Clothing! .. it drops THIS Friday through Jakarta Records.
It’s really something special… and I’m not just saying that because I birthed it. 😉

Jakarta Records is a Germany-based label that I connected with on the dreampusher tour… speaking of, Im not even sure if I’ve told you all about that experience.. …my dreams from 2:00-8:00am..
i end up on the elevator with Buckshot…he tells me that i smell good and asks me what oils im wearing…(random!!)…i sign up for a women’s business group and they send us on a two week trip to different major organizations.. one is the Girls Scout Foundation… we have to share rooms…i go to lunch with one lady and on the way out there is a buffet table full of CAKE… i pause… we are told to help ourselves..we start making big plates to take back to the others (haha..riiight)… as we are talking about the others we realize that we cant remember the last time that we’ve seen one (who happens to be my friend in “real life”)..but we are quite confident that she came on the trip…(i need to call her today!)… in thinking about her, we remember the last time we saw her she was developing a new fitness model, a new workout… which i was trying in my dream….then i woke up…and when i woke up, i realized that workout idea is pretty freaking good and i need to talk to some of my friends in fitness because i just MAY be on to something!
the point of this RAMBLE…you have to dream a lot to discover what works for you!! cant have goals without vision. =) keep dreamin’! (start doing!)

its been a long time coming…ive been doing this since i was a kid, with dreams of getting to see the world and this is only the beginning… im so excited. =)
im grateful for every person who has assisted me on this journey in even the smallest capacity. we still have a lil way to go but we are gettin’ to the good part! 😉
